Ooo Di have a smashing break - we're off tomorrow for one night only (!! LOL) to a little hotel in Warkworth, Northumberland, a very last minute thing, back Saturday pm I think :D I think we are long overdue a little break having had to cancel York at the New Year due to the floods and then another planned break had to be cancelled :( Only thing will be Jen will be spending Good friday on her own and then when we get back, on Sunday she's off to Sheffield for an overnight stay.....ships that pass, LOL!

She and I went to the quiz last night - we had a meal (lasagne for me) and we came third, despite there only being the two of us! So the £2 we paid to enter the quiz came back as a fiver, plus I also won a bottle of wine in a spot quiz :D :D :D

Today Tom's been off as well as me but he was booked to mind Lily - I've been to town and done my grocery shopping as usual.

Hope everyone is ok xxx

We're here with working broadband, rain, lovely cottage and dinner to go in the oven.
Only a co-op in the village and they're always useless (around us anyway) but we found chicken in white wine pie, mashed potato and a bag of fresh mixed veg :) And wine :D And beer :D
Tomorrow the weather's much better so we'll all be off out and about :)

It sure is Osc, made me cry it did, and not much does that ;)
Gal I was rushing to understand the oven etc, meant to say have a lovely time, it does always look so beautiful up in your part of the country, but such a long way from us :)

Don't know why you worry about Jen, she's a grown-up, not your responsibility, doesn't she have friends? :?
Cannot imagine my parents giving a second thought about going out or away after I was about 16, and why should they have?! :D

She only has one close friend that lives reasonably locally, though not on a bus route (Ana drives but Jen won't).

It's my nature Di - she's my only one, I know she's an adult but I don't like to think of her being alone on a holiday weekend, even for one night. Have to admit she doesn't mind a bit, in fact she actively encourages it, lol, but as I said, its my nature to be concerned about her.
