Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 10 Mar 2016, 06:09

Good morning. :D

A gorgeous day forecast so a nice walk after my coffee. :D

My beloved comes home tonight! :D :D :D :D

He lands at 7.30 which gives him time to pick the car up, drive home and lay out my goodies for me   then come and meet me when I finish work at 9 o'clock. :D :D

We're going to Hairy Mary's for a catch up, few beers and a bite to eat. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally and everyone

A lovely sunny morning, but by 'eck, that's a strong cold wind that's thar blowing

We're taking our friends to the Barragem de Roche, where they've not been before, then they're heading off to Evora and may pop back here in a few days, on their way back to Fuzeta. As restaurant owners, they were very impressed with our choice of restaurant last night :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: and the cost ;) ;)

Once they've gone, we'll probably go and have few beers and just chill

Bem vindo to Don, Ally :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two :) Morning everyone :)

Safe trip home for Don Ally, and your goodies too ;) :D

Have a good day Ton, glad your visitors have enjoyed themselves :D

Well it's a bit gloomy here today, but dry so far which is always a plus   Becky arrived safely last night, and should be on her way to Kircaldy from Edinburgh by now. I hope the day goes as smoothly as these things can, Harry has never been to a funeral before and was a bit nervous about it. B will be home tonight, but Harry and his dad will be getting the sleeper again so home tomorrow.

Not sure what I'll be doing yet, possibly some cleaning as I've been waiting for a dry day to steam my hard floors, there is no point on a wet day as the dogs just tread the muck straight back in again  :cute:  I did my ironing yesterday, B asked me to press her funeral outfit for her ("You iron much more nicely than I do Mum"  ) and once I had the board up for that it seemed a good plan to finish my own ;)

Have a good day :) xxxx

Morning you lot :D

Kaz the Gloucester gloom is here as well - rather wet, grey, damp and just miserable. Loads of water on the roads still - apparently it's meant to dry up a bit now which is good. I am beyond ready for warmer weather and a bit of sunshine. Thinking of Becky and Harry and their dad today x
Ally, safe travels to Don and enjoy catching up this evening - and definitely enjoy all your goodies :D
Ton, always good to know that restaurant owners approve of another restaurant, esp when it's not an expensive one. I like that :D

Usual work day for me and then home and an early night to bed I think. Monty had a bit of a set to with another cat at about 4.30am this morning so I've been awake since then because I'm fairly certain it was in my garden which is a bit of a worry because the cat won't be able to get out (or shouldn't given it's cat proofed). I had a look in the dark with a torch but couldn't see anything so shut my lot inside. Had another look this morning when it was light and still couldn't see anything so I let Ava, Henry and Harry out and they all had a good mooch around and it all seemed fine - so fingers crossed I don't have some poor cat hiding away; because that won't be pleasant for anyone!

have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

We're off to the shops after brekkie, haven't done a proper shop for a couple of weeks so getting a bit low on some of the basics. This evening I'm out with the girls http://www.bentleysmargate.org.uk/home for a meal with entertainment by Hotsy Totsy (a members daughter is in the group) it should be fun.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning, lovely sunny day here. I'll take Kellie out for a walk when she gets up from her nap, she already "helped" me hang out some washing. Busy day as usual on Thursday. Enjoy your day everyone :)

You can hang out washing??? Still cold and grey here, I want the blue skies back!!! *stamps foot* Can you send some here please Ally?

As she was working on Sunday (Mothers Day) Jen is treating me to afternoon tea at Patisserie Valerie in town 8-) We don't need to book, she checked, so not sure what time we'll be there, but then I'm also requested to go to a meeting at work at 4.30 - I have already said it's unlikely I'll be there as it's at Head Office and it's more a training hour than a meeting per se...but then afterwards the lady doing the training is shouting us a meal - so Boss said I was welcome to go for that, at least! It's to thank us for embracing a campaign run by the company who is responsible for the training.....so, assuming I am not stuffed full of cake and scones by then, I will be going to that. It's quite close by too :)

Awful news for Jan my mate at work this week. Her brother passed away suddenly in his sleep at the weekend. He is younger than her, at this point I don't know any more...other than she is struggling. I feel dreadful for her...what a shock, he hadn't been ill, just went to bed and didn't wake up

Hugs for the funeral for B and H Kaz, not nice to do but I hope H copes ok xxx

Sunshine and blue skies here, it looks glorious. I have my sitter in from 12-4 today so Mike can go out and shop, and do anything that needs doing in town, plus have a lunch in Wetherspoons if there is time. Trouble is she never stops talking! :? But she is very kind :D
Have a good day everyone.

I know! I can't get my head around it. Not spoken to her yet, she's not been in work obviously, but she has text a couple of times, last one I got last night just said he'd gone to bed as normal on Friday night then next thing, the police broke in Sunday morning and found him  I know he lived alone..... and she also mentioned he'd collected his currency for a trip to Prague...it's her mum I worry about as well as she isn't in the best of health and is 83....

I'm going to arrange a delivery of some flowers for her, from us all. She told me the funeral isn't until next Friday, so won't see her till after that....I did consider going to visit her but her text said she wasn't up to talking just yet. I think she'll appreciate the flowers....bless her it's her birthday on Tuesday and we've just had a collection for her as we do for everyone's birthday.

Just awful.
