In parts of Devon it's my maid which can sound lovely

The men here tend to call each other "Boy" as in "Nice to see you, boy" even if they are well past the boy years That makes me giggle

The friend who has Minnie to stay has a son, he was brought up in Devon and still calls me my maid once in a while, although his accent's quite faint now
