A good morning to you all - was awake at 6 this morning and figured I may as well get up.

Vet appointment for the stray cat this morning at 9.20. The lady from the local cats protection will be working there today so she's going to have a quick look at him and then put him on their rehoming page. He's a gorgeous boy, but I'll be glad when he does have a new home as my gang aren't best pleased at having him in the house

Other than that a quick trip to one of the shops so I can stock up on biscuits for the painter who's coming on Monday to finish off the bedroom, but that's about all that's planned.

Well it looks like another dry day here, hopefully. We got most of Harry's bits yesterday but couldn't find ski goggles or the right kind of thermal undies in town, so will have to go into either Mountain Warehouse or Trespass, in the Quays - which is easy as we walk right past them to get to Corretto's for our lunch Then we will go and see D later. Becky is working today, I think, so it will just be three of us.

I'll be spending it doing the ironing, watching Mr Martin.

This afternoon, it's bulb planting and more weeding, then down for a rewarding beer or three before chicken curry

Who lost her brother filed and then her husband's brother a week later
It was his funeral this week
And her oh has stomach cancer and now needs radiotherapy
I really don't know how much more she can cope with

It has started raining again. Managed to get home from shopping before it started.

Morning all

Grey and overcast but dry at the moment.

Usual house stuff today, washing etc. We're out around 7ish with some of the coffee peeps for a couples evening. The last two were good fun so we're looking forward to it. It's become a regular fixture now, every 3rd Saturday each month and extra events are being planned all the time. There are lots of groups forming as offshoots from the main coffee mornings, a walking group, cinema group and so on. All open to anyone who wants to join in whenever they're free. Most of these are for us ladies only, so the couples events are a really nice way for our husbands to meet each other. I'm so glad I joined, being new to the area, it's made such a difference
