Just as I was so sad that the excellent Borgon has finished I see a new series of Spiral is back Saturday BBC4 at 9.00pm. Great, gritty Paris, France police drama.

We're going to watch this Saturday's opening episodes, Fugi, and see how we get on with it. We found Spiral 2 a little bit too "gritty" for our tastes ...

Yes, the difference between the two cultures in thse two series is huge isn't it Ostrich? The Danish politicians and media always seem to be in control, everything in it's place while the French police get down and dirty!

Spiral was brilliant! All the seamy criminal underbelly of Paris. Drugs, terrorists, immigration, corruption and can't get enough of it. How was it for you Ostrich?

Yes we quite enjoyed the first two episides, Fugi, we remembered most of the characters. It had a good plot-line.

I hope we get that white-haired judge who looks like Arsene Wenger back before too long, Judge Rabin was it?
