Good morning. :D

Off to Arroyo de la Miel this morning - there's a huge market there and one of the stalls sells English greetings cards so Don & I can buy our mum's a Mother's Day card. :D

We'll have a walk along the coast and lunch. :D

Homework club 4.30 - 6.30 then meeting the gang for Friday night beers and tapas. :D :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally and everyone

A lovely but chilly morning here - will be warming up soon though 8-)

We're having our wills notorised this morning - going to cost a fortune, but has to be done, then popping in to see Carlos, the computer man, to see if he can come up with any ideas about this stupid system I have. His dad has the same, so will be interesting to compare notes.

Then over to Castro Verde, as I forgot to gt creme fraiche when we visited Boavista de Palheiros yesterday - they have a Lidl and an Aldi

Then back for a couple of beers and a relaxing afternoon.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally, morning all :D

Well Harry is here! :Hi: I am hoping the three of us - me, Mick and H - will be doing a tour of all the sports type shops getting a few more bits for H's school trip to the Cairngorms next month, as it seems skiing is also on the agenda now! The problem is that the on/off fixing on our shower cubicle has stopped working and Mick ordered a new one, which is due for delivery today! I am hoping it comes before lunchtime so we can go out. Becky would have been around, but she's now doing a 12-8 shift instead of a 4-8. If we leave it until tomorrow the shops will be heaving, and neither Mick nor H is the most patient of shoppers  We do have another shower, over the bath in the main bathroom, but with four in the house this weekend it will cause queueing :cute:  So we'll see how it pans out

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

ETA Morning Ton, hope you get your pooter fixed! :)

It's not broken Kaz, just very frustrating - I couldn't write anything last night, but could read

And we couldn't get any Portuguese television either, so the satelitte was obviously having a hissy fit.

I just wondered if Carlos could come up with any ideas about boosting my computer to speed things up - probably not, but can only ask.

Hope you can get out soon x

Good morning all - I am beyond happy that it's Friday - it's been a bit of a manic week and I'm tired. I'm hoping Pete the painter will come tomorrow instead of Monday to finish off the bedroom because then I can get that room back to the way it's meant to be. At the moment one chest of drawers is in the dining room, the blinds are on the lounge floor and it's all just a bit higgledy piggledy.

Ton, good luck with the computer. Have a read through this - it may give you some ideas as well before you head over to Carlos: http://uk.pcmag.com/networking-reviews- ... ess-signal

Kaz, good luck with the delivery and hope it arrives very soon; totally agree with not wanting to go shopping on a Saturday if you can avoid it! The school trip sounds exciting (if a little expensive), but hey... it's a fab opportunity for him :D

Ally, hope you find the perfect card. I keep buying cards now in March and then forgot to send them to my mom for Mothers Day in Germany which is in May - doh!

Usual work day for me

Have a lovely day all

Thanks Ria :) Luckily we could split the cost with H's dad so not too bad, and a lot of the clothing and stuff can be used again. I feel sorry for families who have to find the whole cost themselves though, then buy kit on top, possibly for more than one child! Hope your painting gets done today! :)

Good luck with Carlos then Ton, that will teach me for speed reading when I'm not properly awake  :D  xxx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

As you can see we've had a loooong lie in this morning  It's lovely having the boys here, but as you can imagine with three of them all full of boundless energy, it's a tad exhausting  It's Noah's 6th birthday today so I expect Z has her hands full with all the excitement.

Enjoy having H this weekend Kaz :D

Hope Carlos comes up with some ideas to speed up your computer Ton.

After brekkie we're off to the greengrocer for fruit and veggies, need to stock up for the weekend, there's not much left after having the boys

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all. It's cold but dry here now.

Had an e-mail from Bill Gates this morning, offering me 5 million dollars,
so I deleted it forthwith. I don't want his cast-off money.

Hope you all have a nice day.

Afternoon all!! :D

Cloudy now after a bright start, was bloomin gorgeous here yesterday! Blue sky and cold, perfect winter day. I had to be at the surgery for 9.30 for a blood test then afterwards I headed into town and got my brows done (dyed and threaded) and went for a coffee. Called off to get some groceries on the way home, Jen took delivery of the freezer (they'd rung to say they'd deliver between 12 and 4) so I spent an hour unpacking that and sorting the garage out a bit - what a mess it was in there!! Mostly T's stuff tbh....we need to get it sorted out. Then Amy invited herself over for tea, they've all (D and J, kids, Amy, mother and her husband) gone to the Lakes for the weekend, another 30th birthday celebration *yawn!!*) then D was popping in and out...it was like a circus in here

Finally today I have the house to myself for a bit, Jen is at work as is T, and the plus is I am starting to feel a bit more like myself after this bout of 'flu', although I did manage to get in to see a GP on Wednesday pm and he said it was a viral infection  Jen and I ventured out to the quiz in the evening on Wednesday, we did pretty well I thought, there were lots of teams, mostly with four or more members, and we (just us two) came fourth! The QM even came over to say how well we'd done since there were just the two of us LOL - we had a nice meal and a good chat, great night 8-) :D

Have a great weekend with Harry Kaz, hope your shower fitment came in time ;)

Hope everyone has a good day xx
Gal
