Naughty us

We broke the law this afternoon :o

When buying something - anything - you have to have a factura, a written or printed receipt, with the name of the seller, the name and address of the buyer and the amount spent, plus all the IVA (tax) etc.

We bought a couple of chairs, made of fire glass, as well as a table, ditto, two cushions (cushion material   ) and a mirror.

Paid cash - no receipt

So Grumpy drove back very carefully on the main roads and then we went on the back lanes, to get home before we got stopped.

A massive fine if you get caught

Went to the bar, to see if any post, had a couple of beers and everyone went out to see what we'd bought and loved it

No mention there about being naughty though ;) ;)

As a matter of interest - how long would you have to keep receipts etc for stuff you've bought. Had you been stopped how would the police have known that the stuff was brand new and not something you'd had for a bit and only now had a chance to collect from your old home? well obviously condition would tell but still....

or if it were a gift?

Bit of a giveaway today Ria - the mirror was second hand and had a 35€ sticker on it and the garden furniture was unwrapped, apart from the cushions,k which were in plastic.

We could have tried the it's a gift/borrowed bit, but the roads we travel around here are not well travelled.

In saying that, we saw 2 lots of police stops this morning, but that was going into the market at Castro Verde and it was all commercial vehicles.
