I'm baaaaaack

A complete nightmare getting this sorted but I'm here now

A huge thank you to Ally for getting in touch, sorry couldn't send a text, have a new phone and can't work it Hope you're all keeping fit and well and are behaving yourselves

But, we're here, we love it - even in the rain

It rained the day we moved, but not too bad. We'd ordered 2 men and 2 vans, we had 3 men and one van but we managed to squeeze just about everything in.

Our forst meal here was eaten with tea-spoons, as I couldn't find the cutlery

We have some fantastic neighbours, English and Portuguese, the bar down the road is brilliant and I'm soooooo pleased to be back.

We're on wifi, so the speed will vary and sometimes be slow, but at least I can chat to you all now.

Grumpy is fine, he's out digging up some awful shrubs. I'm now going to spend the afternoon sat at my desk, going through everything.

Oh and a belated Happy New Year to you all and sending big Alentejana hugs xxx

We love it really love it. We had two woodburners going for a couple of days, just to warm the place up - it's been empty for a year - but it's very well built,lots of lovely light and free lecky, when the sun is shining

We've bought Grumpy a strimmer, so he's been busy, we've done a lot of back-breaking work in the garden - looking forward to planting some new stuff soon.

We've spoken to Helda about a pool, just waiting for him to come back with a price, we've got Sergio to put English tv in, which should be this week-end, we've had Alberto here to cut back the olive trees, we've joined the library and we went out for dinner on Tuesday night, to the Adega, for black pork. Gert lush twas too

I'm going to try and get on fb now, but it's so blummin' slow - and not everything comes up, which is weird.
