Vodafone phone tarrifs...

Postby Suff » 15 Jan 2016, 21:31

I changed my phone to sim only 30 day rolling last year as I had no intention of changing my phone and wanted a bit more data and a bit less cost. I was already unlimited minutes and texts, but only 2gb of data and I was paying £45 per Month. I reduced that to £24 with the tarrif change and that was fine as I upped the data to 4gb.

So, today, thought I, I'll see what I can increase this to as the EE payg is not going to do what I need really. I checked online, 30 day upgrades, £29 6gb. OK not too bad. But then I thought I'd check the 12 month sim only plans. Where I got quite a surprise.

20gb, Netflix or sky sports mobile or two other things I had not heard of, for 12 months, for..... £30.... WTF. I'm still trying to work out how they priced that one but I'm going to change over tomorrow. £6 more per month for 5 times the data I get today. Sold!

Granted Vodafone has the most pitiful 3g and 4g offering in Scotland of all the providers. However I'll keep the EE payg for that and just top it up if I need it.

So if anyone is looking at sim options, that is quite a good deal. Given that they want to pay that much..

Perhaps they are under pressure, due to a rather large takeover in the field very recently ;)

Whatever the reason, that's a great deal, so enjoy :) :Hi:

LOL, I only have 500Mb data allowance on my phone and that's more than enough for me; not sure what I'd do with 20GB   But then I have WiFi at home, at work, most of my friends have that I can patch into if needed; so I don't really need much additional data allowance.

I pay £19 per month with EE

but that really IS an excellent deal Suff - wow :o

Interesting. I always thought Uk was cheaper for phone etc. (with the exception of Suffs deal!!)

I pay $29 (£10?) per month and get unlimited texts to NZ & oz, 1gb data and 300 minutes talk. It's all carryover too so I currently have more than I will ever use.
Everything happens for a reason
