Am up early as I cannot sleep.
It is still dark outside but I don't think it is raining
Like you I will be doing bits and bobs. May go shopping. There is a good DIY shop at a local town which sells things you can't get at the big stores. Want some special bo;ts which I think they will have.

Good morning everyone

Woke to a bit of a shock as we saw the news about the bomb in Jakarta and our nephew S is there at the moment, travelling. Thankfully he is unharmed as he was having a lie in, but he posted some pics on Facebook that show how close he was staying, and he told me in a conversation on there just now that he was at the damaged checkpoint yesterday trying out his language skills with a policeman! He's the nephew who teaches in China, he's on holiday and travelling in the Far East. Bit of a scare but he's off to Bali and the beach now, hopefully it will be safer there! My thoughts to the people who were caught up in this, especially the families of the dead

I'm out to meet my friend A this morning for a coffee, in the Quays, which will be nice, then will see how the day pans out. Very clear and cold here, so a nice crisp winter's day

Gosh Kaz, I hadn't heard about that at all until I just read your post.... I really do need to switch the TV or radio on in the mornings. So pleased to hear your nephew is safe - it's such a scary world out there at the moment. I was talking to my mom on Tuesday evening and we both said how glad I am that I don't have to catch the tube on a daily basis - I do worry that something will happen in London sometime soon - but we can't let fear stop us living our lives, can we?

No, we can't Ria and I understand your concern about the tube. I lived and worked in London from '76 to '79 when the IRA bombings were current and got caught in many a bomb scare, we had lots at work as I worked in a big govt. building, but luckily never in an incident. You just have to carry on otherwise the buggers have won! (((((x))))

It's rather unpleasant here, weather-wise, so I won't be going far this morning.
It looks like we might have a bit of winter weather.
But I've plenty of indoor jobs to keep me occupied.

Not seen the news today Kaz, very glad your nephew is ok!

It's horrible here, lots of snow!! Plans for today have gone up in smoke - I'm not getting the car out in this! Disappointed really as I do enjoy my days off, so can pop out in the car and have a mooch...I want a new bed for Jen and we intended looking for one today Instead I will busy myself in the house, doing stuff that never gets done
