Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 10 Jan 2016, 07:22

Good morning. :D

Looks set to be lovely again although rain is forecast for tomorrow. :D

Making a Rogan Josh this morning for tonight's dinner. :D

Going into town today with the girls for a long lazy lunch then back to our house for a 70/80's themed kitchen disco. :Hi: :Hi:

(Sue is getting married in August) but what she doesn't know is that when we're in town Don is tarting the kitchen up a bit and we're going to have a 'mini hen' do.
I've bought silly string, banners, whistles, etc....just bits to make the kitchen disco be a bit madder and Don will be DJ the DJ. (His name is Donald Joseph!)

We'll have the curry at the end of the night methinks.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, what a fab idea re the kitchen disco - that sounds like huge fun; and probably not a bad idea leaving the curry until the end of the evening  Have fun! :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Dry for now over here, but rather grey skies which doesn't bode well. I'm about to get some ox cheeks into the slow cooker; going to try them in a BBQ pulled pork style; apparently works as well with beef as it does with pork so why not give it a go; but need to get them in asap as they take forever a day in the slow cooker. Also a bit of cleaning to be done but that's the only things sort of planned

I had such a bargain buy yesterday - was out shopping with Nadine; I was quite keen to get a pair of flat black boots for general every day kind of wear. Had a look at a few shops and found a pair in Jones; priced at £89 (down from £115). Still a tad more than I wanted to spend but they were (are) really super super comfy and solid and well made so I figured I'd bite the bullet, and when I got to the till they went down an additional £30 so I ended up paying £59 - well pleased I was, and perfectly within budget for shoes in a sale :)

Have a lovely day everyone, stay dry and warm

Morning all, been awake since just after 5am  Mr Osc has now developed the "dose" and was snorting and sniffling in his sleep, so I didn't get back to sleep at all  Nothing major planned for the day, probably a walk, and we bought a filing cabinet in Ikea the other day, so I want to move my files into that and also do the Christmas card list so I can get rid of the cards. It looks ok outside after hours of nonstop rain yesterday evening. Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here :D

My soup maker is really good, fresh veggie soup in 21mins, can't be bad. Oh and it was very tasty.

It rained here last night, but fortunately not while we were travelling to/from the pub. Had a lovely evening, they are such a nice bunch. This couples thing has been such a success it looks like it will definitely become a monthly fixture.

No plans for today, or what's left of it, we've only just got up   E's just about to pop out for the papers and then we'll have a late brekkie.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all.

It's blue skies and sunshine here (for a change).
Been a walk this morning, and then a bit of housework as we have a visitor this afternoon.

Hope you are all O.K.

Have a nice day.

Definitely a slow cooker day Saundra ;)

Osc I hope Mr O gets better soon, and you'll be able to sleep! xx

Jen I am sorely tempted to look at soup makers, especially with your positive feedback :)

It's foul out there, but we've done the shopping and are back in the warm, and about to start our TV afternoon :D xxx

Afternoon :)
Extremes of weather today, lots more rain overnight and this morning, then it got a lot brighter, so I went out into town after lunch - just in time for it to tip down again :D
At the moment it's black as night out the back and lovely bright blue at the front...

What a bargain Meriad :) Ox cheeks sound lovely too, bet they're smelling good by now :)
Have fun Ally, not that you need telling :D
Oh dear Osc, I hate other people having a cold almost as much as having one myself ;) x

I bought two jumpers in M&S (hadn't spent my Christmas money), but although the sale one is lovely, the non-sale one looks a bit odd on, so will be going back.
A shame as it's a lovely colour, but a bit short to wear with leggings/jeggings, a bit long and a bit baggy to go with a skirt...couldn't really think what it would look right with :?
Remembered a small piece of pork in the freezer, so we'll be having that for dinner :)
