Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 09 Jan 2016, 07:46

Good morning. :D

Today we're off into Malaga for the day. :D :D

Shopping, then a walk along the port which will involve more shopping then lunch at a chiringuito on the beach. :D

A climb up Gibalfaro for some views will be next. :D

Bus back to our town to meet Don at Big Tapas for a few beers and dinner. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Have a fab day Ally; sounds perfect in every way.

Not sure what my day will bring, have nothing planned at all. May (or may not) meet Nadine in town but we'll see. What I do want to try and achieve this weekend is sort out the freezers. I have one inside the house (fridge freezer combo thing) and then a full standing freezer in the outhouse. I need to rearrange so I have the ready cooked meals inside so I can grab them easily for work and then try put method into the madness so I know what's in the bigger freezer. I've got loads in there that no doubt is well out of date - frozen or not

But that sort of sums up my very exciting (not) weekend - Ally; yours sounds infinitely preferable

Have a lovely day all

Morning all :)

Ally that sounds like a lot of fun, have a lovely time :D :D

Ria, Mick rearranged my chest freezer for me, and did a spreadsheet ( :ugeek: :P  ) of the contents for me! I told him that was a bit hi tech for me and a white board on the garage wall was a better idea, I totally accidentally mucked up the spreadsheet and now have almost no idea what's in there. If he does it again I'll insist on the white board ;)

Morning Saundra, raining here too! We were woken by builders making a big racket at the house behind us, just after 8am. On a Saturday! As this was the man who complained about the dogs barking that time (nobody else ever has, as we check them immediately when they start outside) words will be exchanged if it happens again   Usual Saturday here. No Harry this weekend, spoke to him last night on the phone, he's still waiting for the result of his English exam which will confirm whether he gets a C pass for GCSE, or a BTech! They will hear before the end of next week, so some VV vibes would be appreciated :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

I'm worried about this as well when upstairs starts the renovations so he can sell... he's a self employed electrician and I know will try do most, if not everything, himself with the help of his brother who is a plumber so it'll all be done after hours. When I first moved here he was fixing up to rent out and used to do the work until late at night and then over the weekends and I know he's going to do the same again.

Kaz, just found this on the internet: http://www.southglos.gov.uk/environment ... ing-sites/

Noise
Where the site is adjacent to residential or business premises, heavy plant, noisy equipment or operations and deliveries should not take place outside the hours of;

Monday-Friday 7.30-18.00
Saturday 8.00-13.00
Sundays/Bank Holidays – no noisy activity

If there is going to be any unavoidable late night or early morning working, neighbouring homes should be advised. Construction companies should notify us before beginning such work.

Sadly it would seem 8am on a Saturday is perfectly legal

Hmmm yes, doesn't mean we have to like it though ;) He'd just better not complain again about the odd yap :cute:   Just because it's legal it's still a bit anti-social ;) I hope when your neighbours start it isn't too bad! That's always the worry, isn't it? Thanks for the link though, as I had no idea it was illegal on Sundays, so if it starts tomorrow, he's snookered :cute:   Thing is, if he hadn't been so unpleasant to us, we'd have just shrugged about this and let him get on with it - live and let live 8-) ;)

Morning all, it was lashing rain when I woke around 7.20am but it is nice and sunny now. I've got lots of bits and pieces to do, so will work my way through as many as I get to. We were supposed to be away tonight at that ball we cancelled, it was definitely the right decision as I know my ankle is not up to dancing yet, and it so happens that Mr Osc might be getting a dose, his throat feels sore and he is very tired.  at Kaz and the spreadsheet, looking at spreadsheets is like looking at some very obscure foreign language to me  Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here, but the temperature has definitely dropped.

Good luck to H Kaz x

I'll be trying out my new soup maker this lunchtime. I always used to make my own, but it's such a faff I succumbed. Eldest daughter M had one for Christmas and is delighted with hers. I liked the look of the Morphy Richards with a saute function, but at £99 definitely a no no, but then I saw the red model on AO reduced to £39 a saving of £60, it arrived yesterday, we'll see....

We're off out this evening to the second event the coffee ladies have arranged for couples. The last one was great fun, there will be 40 of us this time and Jane the organiser has arranged for a finger buffet, looking forward to it.

Hope you all have a good day :D
