Hmmm,
I decided to make a clean break with my pay in for December and not go back to work this week, thus starting in Edinburgh on Monday. So Mrs S decided that was wonderful as I could work 8 hours a day physically in the house.....
So far I have fitted a new radiator into the Utility room, secured all the sockets in the bedroom and removed a wall unit Mrs S didn't want in place any more. Fitted a new back door in the utility room. Removed a window in the Games room and replaced it with a back door. This afternoon I'll cement up the old brick work which is shoddy cheap air brick which shatter when you cut them.
Thurs/Fri I'll probably be building walls in the games room to block it off from the workshop below it and then help with some spraying up in the Attic, flooring in the attic and probably re-do the electrical distribution ready for re-wiring our new bedroom suite. Fortunately we did most of the small sitting room and the ripping out of the entire attic last year so it's "only" a case of completely rebuilding the old living room, bathroom and a box room into our bedroom, dressing room and en-suite, which will connect to the small sitting room and games room beyond it.
The attic will be wonderful when it's done. We're moving the entire library upstairs and building the entire attic into a huge media/library room. So we will be able to read in the library as well as watch movies and TV.
Feeling good to be back at work yet???
In the meantime the contract for Edinburgh has not turned up yet, I am running out of time to get out of my apartment in Brussels and flights/ferries etc only get more expensive as the time shortens...
