Recommendations for new phone

Postby Rodo » 07 Feb 2013, 10:43

I need to update my phone which is a few years old and am totally bewildered by the array of phones on the market now. I know that Samsung seem to be the preferred ones these days. I don't really need a very expensive one as I no longer work and am just at a loss as to which to buy. I don't want to spend £500 and yet I'm not looking at really cheapo phones.

All advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you want to go onto a contract or pay as you go? And what do you want your phone to do / have? What is your minimum criteria

Do you want a touchscreen or a more basic keypad phone?

I want a payasyougo mobile phone, and I want something that looks nice and smart and up-to-date.

What about a Samsung Galaxy - I am on contract but was led to believe this would be more than adequate for my needs. I love it.

I love my HTC two year contract for £12.00 a month and the fact I didn't have to pay out a lump sum. Free texts (don't know how many) and free call time and does lots of things I don't use! Smashing camera.

I had a HTC which was wonderful, it was a Wildfire S. I'd definitely recommend HTC.

I've seen the Samsung Galaxy and wondered about that one - have never heard of the HTC though. Will have to look that one up.

Thank you for suggestions.
