Afternoon all. Grey and miserable here but at least its stopped raining!

Work for me until around 1.30 and then I'm off to the doctors for my health check (I must be getting old if I've been invited in for a health check!) and then I have to nip to see the old bag that is Micks aunt (I cant stand the woman. She is the widow of Micks mums brother and neither Mick, his mum, dad or sister have anything to do with her as she is so awful. I however am just too nice to be horrible to her so every year I get my summons to visit her - she lives locally - where I am ceremoniously given the cards for each of us, usually containing £10 each and am subjected to a complete bit ch-fest about my inlaws. I make my excuses politely after about 30 minutes and then breathe a huge sigh of relief that its all over for another year!)

Then call at my mums to collect the dog, nip to the market for some fruit and veg and home. We are decorating the tree tonight (Mick hung it last night so it should have dried out and settled down over night) and I am going to have a go at making some peanut butter fudge to take to our wreath making night tomorrow - I have already made some damson chocolate using the damsons from my damson vodka.

Good afternoon all.

It's dull but dry here now.

Not very inviting out there, but I've walked to the hospital to collect some new ear moulds
for my hearing aids, as the ones I had a few months ago were a misfit, and quite often made
noises like a train going through a tunnel. The new ones seem alright, - so far.

We've bedecked our apartment now with all our Christmas decorations. Every year we seem
to have added to the collection, and it looks smashing now. I do like Christmas.

Have a nice day. :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Damson chocolate ? That sounds nice, Debih.

Osc, it developed into a shocking sinus headache by the time I got to the meeting, so the zumba was definitely off, every time I move my head it throbs horribly :o

Di yes, I've got some mega-vit C and zinc which I'm taking :) I'm sure I'll be fine in a day or two, and am still planning to go to Wednesday's class! :D

Aggers, I'm glad the new aids fit well! :D

Saundra I love stews cooked in the slow cooker ;) The smells just fill the house :D

The meeting went well, apart from the headache, so I was glad I went. I'll update later on the Health board ;) I came straight home though, after, no lingering in town today!

At least it's better to get the lurgy over this week, rather than next! Got plenty planned for then!

Oh and I've just opened the first jar of my green tomato chutney, and it is gorgeous!!! Thanks so much Debih for the recipe 8-) Hope the visit to the dreaded rellie goes ok xxx

Kaz, just be careful - there is a horrid bug going round and quite a few people ending up with quite chronic sinusitis... see how you feel on Wednesday but don't push yourself by doing that Zumba class; one week of rest may not be a bad thing, esp as you say with next week being Christmas etc xxx
