Afternoon all, very windy here and just not very nice, although still not very cold. We have been to Lidl and done some other shopping and now we are in for the day. Mr Osc is makng Rocky Road and I am trying to stop myself knicking little bits and pieces

Cruiser, I would love to go dancing, in fact I would just love a walk on the pier, but my ankle is certainly not able for it :o although there has been a little improvement. Di, I like the look of Steff's Kitchen, hope you have a lovely time. Have a good day everyone :)

Afternoon! :)

Hi Saundra, hope your prescription came :)

Osc, I like rocky road too, as long as there are no nuts in it ;)

Ria, that's fair enough, got to give the pusscats a fair turn each! :D :Hi: ;)

Di, that looks like a lovely café - I think garden centres often have really nice cafes, the ones around here do ;) Hope you've had a great lunch!

You too Aggers! :D :)

Well I got my cards posted!!! Yahooooo :Hi: I needed to check out postage to Germany in the PO, and the exact UK postage for one particularly large card - luckily there was only a tiny queue ;)

We had a lovely chatty time :)
There aren't many places that really impress me, especially for lunches but Steff's kitchen is good, I could happily have eaten every plate of food we saw :)

That's right Saundra, it's just one day after all, and you will see them over the long holiday! :D ;)

My Chris isn't coming this year, he's had an offer he can't refuse from work to do Xmas cover that will pay for the dental work he's having done in January :? He'll be alone on the day, which I'm not ecstatic about but he's a big lad and it's his choice :? We'll nip across and see him in the NY some time. My sister and her lot are coming for the weekend just after NY, so the 2nd and 3rd - staying overnight in a local hotel. It will be just me, Mick, Becks, Harry and Doreen on the day :) Aunt Jen is going to her next door neighbour's who had already invited her.

Kaz your C and my J have something in common...she was all excited to arrange a trip to Sheffield to spend NYE with her Yorkshire pals, but then - after booking and paying for her train - she rechecked her rota, and she is now £40 down after realising she'd looked at the wrong rota and she is working till 4.30pm NYE and then opening (8am) on NYD! We have just arranged a couple of nights away 30th and 31st so not only will she be spending NYE on her own, she won't be able to have a drink/stay up to see the NY in and she will have to arrange a taxi for the opening shift as there are no buses running here on NYD *cry* I feel sooooo bad, I won't enjoy my time away knowing she is all alone.....I'll have to try and man up, as you say, it's only one day....

Been working today, and am in tomorrow which will feel strange but I'll enjoy it as am working with Jan, as I have been today, who's just back after a week off work. It's not like work when you are with a pal....and we have our staff meal out on Saturday :)

((((Gal)))) I know, it's hard to get your head around them being adult and responsible for their own choices, and perfectly OK on their own  LOL Chris is 37 and I still have trouble
