A petition? We need a WAR!.
Richard III was the last Plantagenet and Yorkist King, and his personal wish was to be buried at York.
However, permission to exhume his (assumed) remains was given only on the grounds that if they were him he was to be reburied in Leicester. Without a written will that must be the case.
Fascinating story, though, and if it comes your way Elaine, C4 is the UK TV Channel, the programme is well worth watching.
It is good to know that the Tudor and Shakespeare versions of Richard are now under scrutiny. I am a Yorkshireman, and went to a Catholic Secondary school, and Shakespeare's play was never studied there - it was not viewed favourably, even after 500 years.
