Darker paint to lighter always needs more coats if painting on top of it directly...

Chases Gal, for to give a slap.

Thanks for that (too late) insight.

Ton. Stoppit. Otherwise I will be over and paint everything baby puke cream... with bits and smells. :P ;)

In recent years I have always painted walls with bog-standard Magnolia.

When re-painting is needed, my secret is to do just one wall at a time.
It might take several days to complete the room, but it is much easier,
and is not such an upheaval.

I really need to paint the entire inside of my home, but it's a job I hate doing so I've been putting it off and off. But when I do paint it'll probably be pure white. There used to be a colour called A Whisper of Antique White, but it's discontinued (only got the whisper of antique cream now) which was lovely.

But one day - one day ;)

Kaz, some of those shades are fantastic. My fave so far is Stowe White.

Bad pun, good colour. 8-)
