A place to chat with friends, old and new

Good morning all.

It's quite a nice morning here, if a little cool.
I've just been a brisk walk to get my newspaper, then I'm having a quiet day.
We had a strenuous day yesterday, with two long, high-speed, walks.

Have a happy day.

Morning all, it's a bit dull and dreary here although Mr Osc has gone to play golf. Nothing much planned for the day, want to take it a bit easy as I did too much on Saturday and my foot got very sore again, so some rest might be a good idea. We enjoyed our outing yesterday even though I wasn't able to dance, but it was great to see our dancing friends and have a chat. Hope you feel better soon Weka and Jen! Have a good day everyone :)

Morning :)
A beautiful day here, if we must have winter then this is how I like it, freezing cold but bright and sunny, thick frost on the cars but no ice on the roads - perfect :D
Yes Osc do take it easy, literally out your feet up xx
Glad you're pleased with your blinds etc meriad, a new look is always nice :)
Jealous of your walk Ally, as usual :)
Ton good luck with Felipe and the plan may be for your new supply, I'm sure we all have our fingers crossed x
Kaz good luck, hope you enjoy it as much as last week :)
Suff they do seem to be responding and handling the situation well don't they.
Weka you can have my sympathy, I hate colds - but yes, please don't send any cybergerms  xx
Jen glad your cold's on its way out, and your shops sound lovely :)
Sorry for what I may have forgotten to reply to :D

We've had a busy morning (Bb's not working till later), took several bags of garden rubbish to the tip - which was amazingly empty, neither of us had ever seen it so quiet :)
Stripped the bed, got it all in washing/drying, and put the clean stuff on; been up into the village to collect prescriptions and get some bread and milk, now sitting with a nice coffee :)

That's the bank sorted :D I'll pick up the bank draft on Wednesday morning. Chemist sorted :D lovely long chat with that very nice Dra. Patricia - the one you met Di.

Sadly, the centro de saude is closed for renovations until 5 December, so no idea where Felipe is ;) If I need him, I'll try Olhao, but I'm okay at the moment, I'll ring that number tomorrow.

We had a pit-stop for a couple of beers, well, why not ;)   and next doors builder is drilling and banging, so he might as well be i nthe same room

Far away hugs for those with colds - I met a friend the other day who was sniffling but he informed me that his cold was not a catching cold :? :? :? So why am I now feeling like I have a cold :? :?

Always. I was in the Grand Place today and the 6 Nations pub for Lunch. There are so many weapons on the streets and squares that no terrorist will do anything. They don't want to kill one or two people before being killed, they want to do much more damage.

Right now it's safe as houses on the streets. Later will be another matter. What is more concerning is that I can't work, therefore be paid and they didn't tell me till Sunday night when I was on the train. So I'm stuck in Brussels with nothing to do and nowhere to go...

Ah well. I'm safe. Which, in the end, counts for the most.

Feeling lots better this morning I think my fever broke in the night. Just blocked sinus now and a headache.

Better get up and make the school lunches, and get them to school.

Been wondering how you were getting on Suff.
