And no, sorry Ally, you won't get either of us that far up in the sky (do we have a shivering, timid smillie    )

That's Grumpy ;)

He used to be able to clamber up a ladder, 3 stories high, I even went up some scaffolding in Oxford, years ago - stunning views - but you won't get either of us dong it now

Mick has a great head for heights - well he did have to climb up telegraph poles for a living at one time - and has done roofing before now, but I don't like him going up ladders now in case his dodgy knee or ankle give way :?

I really worry when Grumpy goes up on any of the roof bits, for any maintenance, painting. He insists he's fine, so why won't he paint the front bit of the house? Too high   well, off ladder anyway. the Portuguese seem to have no fear whatsoever

He's insisting on taking the aerial down, so I'll stand on the front patio, waiting to catch him

Another reason to buy a single storey house ;)
