Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 20 Nov 2015, 06:27

Good morning. :D

Lovely again. 8-)

Coffee, a long walk then back to my window display creation!

I've made the table and 7 chairs. :D Yesterday in the bazaar I found a white board - the same as we use at school except in mini form. I was delighted with this find as it'll really set the tone. :D :D :D :D

Homework club 4.30 - 6.30 then meeting Don and the others for our usual Friday night beers and tapas. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally and everyone

Gorgeous morning here too :D

Sounds good Ally, don't forget the photos :D :D

More packing and sorting for us after a day off yesterday. Funny how you meet some people and just click, isn't it? We get on so well with Dave and Hazel, I don't think we stopped chatting for 4 hours

Hopefully all the walls and all the banging from next door has now stopped, just the repair stuff now - at least that'll be quieter 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Dry but grey here at the moment.

Our plans for the proposed extension were approved with conditions so we got in touch with Building Control and asked if one of them could come and take a look and explain exactly what needs to be changed. Yesterday morning a lady from the department came and she's lifted the conditions attached so we can go ahead when we decide on a builder :D Easier said than done though, still waiting for some of the quotes and none of them will be available to start until at least Feb. The approval lasts for 3 years so although we don't intend to leave it that long, there really isn't a huge rush, and tbh we can manage as things are for the winter. It's the summer that causes us a problem, we're south facing so the existing little conservatory is like a sauna on even the mildest of sunny days so completely unusable. Much as we'd prefer not to spend the money we really can't leave it indefinitely.

No plans for today, will see how the weather pans out.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, lovely bright sunny cold day here, wish I could go for a nice walk. I have been to the physio this morning, she was very pleased with progress, so I am down to one crutch when out and none around the house. I need to do some ironing today, and also ring our electricity supplier who is continuing to send us bills for a meter that was removed last January   Mr Osc is just off out to play golf. Have a good day everyone :)

Afternoon all - I'm housebound thanks to the car ( see yesterday's post) but I have made the most of it and done a few necessary tasks - like cleaning the oven :D Ironing done, another couple of loads to go, the dishwasher has finished....I hoovered yesterday but have washed the floors today and I've stripped Jen's bed for her when she gets back from holiday on Sunday, I don't usually do it but I know she hates that and it'll mean she has nice fresh bedlinen after her holiday :D

The sun is out and it's gorgeous here, but we have snow forecast from 4pm

This afternoon I intend to either a) go for a walk, b) read my book in the conservatory or c) watch a shedload of stuff from the planner :D I LOVE having the house to myself 8-)

Kaz have a lovely day with your new friend :D
Osc - fab news! You sound like you'll be losing the crutches permanently soon :)

Have a smashing Friday all :D

Afternoon :)
It's stopped raining and definitely getting colder but still very dark and miserable here.
Looking forward to the colder weather if it means no more rain for a while, it's been dark and wet for such a long time.

Good news re the extension Jen although quite a wait it will be lovely to have it done in time for summer :)
And good news re the crutches Osc, it's obviously coming on well x
Nuisance to say the least about the car Gal, one of those things you'd innocently expect them to be able to sort out quickly.

Been to the art class this morning, nothing worth posting a picture of this time as we were learning how to use acrylics - which would take a lot longer than a couple of hours :D
Hope you're all enjoying the day
