Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 19 Nov 2015, 06:56

Good morning. :D

This week has zoomed by!

Gorgeous here again. 8-) 8-)

A wee run after my coffee and back to be a Blue Peter presenter!

We have a double window frontage at the Academy with lots of pieces of 'work' from the students presented on it - the teachers have 2 classes each that display their efforts.

My 15 year olds are writing about the topic 'extreme weather' and my 5 year olds are doing 'our classroom'. :D :D
Ergo today at home I'll mostly be pootling with cardboard, tissue paper, plasticine and glue!

Should be fun later when the kids are making models of themselves to sit on the little chairs I'll have made.

I'll take a photo when it's all completed so you can see what I'm prattling on about.

Have a great day everyone. :D :D

Morning Ally and everyone

Going to be another lovely day here too :D :D

Up early as Grumpy was convinced he heard a mozzie dive bombing him  I was asleep   having been awake for 3 hours, I'd just nodded off

Looking forward to seeing the photos Ally - don't get your fingers stuck together ;)

We're off shopping sooner rather than later as we're meeting friends at 11.30 to swop house selling/buying tales of woe/happiness    They've just soldtheir apartment in Tavira and bought another on in Manta Rota, so we're having a day off packing :D :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two :)

Ally - wot, no sticky-back plastic or fairy liquid bottles? :D ;) Sounds fun, and looking forward to the pics 8-)

Ton I hope you have a good time meeting your friends :) Annoying about the mozzie!

Well it's another wet and dark day here  Getting fed up with it, we need some sharp cold weather, a few frosts, to kill off the germs and give the sun a chance to come through. Even my niece, who now lives in Bristol, was posting on Facebook last night saying she didn't know what rain was until she moved to the west     I'll be out in it later anyway, I stayed in yesterday, apart from going out to zumba, and will need the fresh air and also need to get some milk and some fruit.

I really enjoyed zumba last night, and think I will do both classes weekly from now on. Jane even said I was doing really well for my first week, which is encouraging. I struggled a bit with some of the footwork, as I'm not good at dancing, but I'll get there 8-) :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning you three

Looking forward to the photo's Ally - I have a vague idea what it's going to look like; it'll be interesting to see how right or wrong I am
Ton, enjoy the day away from packing boxes and bubble wrap and have a fab time nattering away with your friends
Kaz, same as you I don't mind cold weather nor the winter darkness, it's the wet that gets to me... and wind; don't like wind - and then wet and windy combined  And really happy that you're enjoying the Zumba classes :Hi:

Usual work day for me; am meant to meet up with a friend for a drink after work, but may give that a skip - quite happy to just get home and chill on the sofa. This cough does just drain and I think it's better for everyone if I get my germs home alone :D

Hope you all have a lovely day, continued vibes for those who need them xxx

Excellent re the zumba Kaz - you'll be a skinny minnie in no time :D 8-) I'm so glad you're enjoying it :D We've had bright sunshine today for a welcome change, but we have snow forecast for tomorrow night and into Saturday!! Its certainly turned a lot colder today *shudders*

GP this morning....loooong wait.....quick tidy round and then head out to town, only my car wouldn't start in my garage (it's been doing this intermittently for a while now, the dash icons today showed it could be the immobiliser) so I walked up to the garage at the top of our street and they asked if I had a spare key, to try that and it might be ok. I did and it was....so off I went.

Did some shopping and had a coffee, got back to the car and it wouldn't start again, even with the spare key! Took it out of the ignition, turned it over, tried again, success!! But I daren't stop anywhere else so I drove straight back to the local garage and left both keys with them. They rang me back a little while ago to say it needs a new part but they can't get it till Monday....I told them to leave it up there as I'm not confident to use it as it is, so it may as well be in their garage as mine. *sigh* I still need my weekly groceries....hopefully T will take me either this evening or Saturday pm (he has other plans tomorrow night)

It's certainly been one of those weeks  :(
Oh and I forgot - D's shed was broken into last night - £1000 worth of bikes stolen and all of John's tools

Hope everyone has a good evening xxx

Evening all, today flew by. Kellie was here as usual just after 9am. It is Michael's 6th birthday (where did those years go  ) so his Mummy and Daddy collected the two of them from us around 2.30 so they could have family time for the rest of the day. His big birthday present is that Miss Osc and SIL are bringing him to a Liverpool home match at the end of the month - triple whammy, plane, match, hotel - although Miss Osc said he seemed a bit miffed that Kellie would get two sleepovers with us   He is having his party on Saturday, but I think we will manage to give that a miss, a crowd of overexcited six years can be rather tiring ;) Hope everyone has had a good day :)
