FAO Saundra! - and anyone else interested in a kindle

Did you get your kindle? For today only amazon have the basic one with £10 off, making it £59 :)
You don't need any more than the basic one, so it's a brilliant bargain :)

that is an amazing price, wow.....

I think for me the one very big draw back of the original kindle is that the screen isn't back lit so you still have to have a light on at night... but other than that; they are great

I quite like that it's not back lit - it makes reading outdoors in the summer much easier ;)

That's a terrific price! 8-)

I have a Kindle and Mick has a Kindle Fire.

If I were buying again, I would definitely get the Fire. It can do so much more than the Kindle - you can get on the internet, watch tv, play games and read your books (which are backlit for night time reading).

Ah but Debih, you get the joy of charging the Fire every 10 hours or so instead of 10 days.....

If I wanted a device for all that I'd buy a Google Nexus 7 32GB model. My Nirvana is 5.5" phone, 6" Kindle, 7" tablet, 12" netbook and 18.4" laptop.

But I'm not your typical user though...... :ugeek:
