Oh dear

Postby Kaz » 17 Nov 2015, 15:51

Some sad news here. Mick's Uncle Ron, who has been very ill for a while, has died this lunchtime, in the hospice where he's been since last week :( He's M's uncle by marriage, married to his dad's sister. He wasn't the easiest of men, but Aunt J is a lovely woman and is naturally devastated - so it's very sad news, and poor old Mick is the executor so will have the paperwork and stuff to do.

D rang me to let me know, she was up there with Aunt J visiting when it happened :(

How sad :( Being an executor can be tough, depending on the size of the estate, maybe he might think about handing it to a solicitor?

Always sad to lose someone - it will be hard for Aunt J, esp this close to Christmas. I'm glad D was with Aunt J

And hopefully the will is fairly straight forward and not too much work for Mick

<< K and M >> ..... Sorry to read your post, Kaz - thoughts and condolences for Mick ...

Hopefully it will be an uncomplicated will and not be too onerous an executorship for Mick, given Aunt J is still with you.

Thanks very much everyone, just got off the phone to D, she and J are coming round tomorrow to see Mick so they can start making appointments and arrangements. I don't think the estate will be much Osc, they are a very average couple who own a bungalow, a car, and have a few bob in the bank but that's pretty much it. There are no children to the marriage, Mick is the eldest nephew so that's why he was named....

You are all very kind, thanks so much ((((((((((((((((x)))))))))))))))))))
