Our new house

Postby tonicha » 13 Nov 2015, 12:38

has now been reserved, as I sent 2,000€ earlier this morning.

We're not going to sign the promissary contract until all the neighbours have said that they have no interest.

That should be done by 26 November, then we all agree a date for the notaries - one down here and the other up there - and off we go.

So from start to finish how long?

So exciting - and nerve-racking no doubt - for you both. It'll be nice to be in your new home for Christmas and hopefully as upacked as can be by then

Pity that the UK system isn't as efficient, esp the binding bit.

Happy move Ton when the times comes :D

Great news Ton. :D :D :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

What is really fab is, after all this time, you're moving like billy-o now which is smashing. :D

It must be a European thing as our move took 9 weeks from first viewing to the day we moved in. :o

The hardest part was viewing properties beforehand!

We viewed this house in late January, offered in early Feb when ours suddenly sold, but we weren't in until the last week of June - and there were plenty of hiccups in that time. Blooming torture it was!!

In fact until we actually got the keys I was sure it would fall through, our buyer was such a total PITA :?
