Smoked salmon and cream cheese mini filo pastry tarts served with sparkling plonk, a surprise starter and wine being provided by my friend Mary, slow cooked oxtail stew with mashed potatoes and green beans served with a rather lovely Shiraz, a surprise dessert and dessert wine being provided by my friend Sue, coffee and Hotel Chocolat tasting choccies and ending with a very fine port no doubt accompanied by the After Eight game!

We had some pork fillet slices in the freezer, so we defrosted them overnight and Mr Osc has them in the slow cooker with lots of veg, and we will have that with rice when my brother arrives. We also have a brioche bread pudding from Lidl that I bought and froze although we subsequently discovered I probably shouldn't have, we will cook that thoroughly and hope it is edible

We were going to have chuicken curry, but the pasties look and smell so tempting, we're having one each, with onion gravy, chips and peas :D

Onion gravy WM, from a packet. Or should I go for the onions fried, then add a stock cube??

Anyway, whatever, I'm doing one or t'other.
