Had a reasonable night really. Thankfully no pain as such, just really sore. It is extremely swollen today and I have to keep it elevated for another 24 hours or so and use the icepack every few hours, plus I lashed on the arnica cream. The crutches are awkward  Shell, unfortunately I can't even use those creams, they enter your system and have the same effect on me as the anti inflammatories.

Oh ouch, Rosie, that does look painful.

Have you tried an alternate mix of hot and cold compresses - a few minutes of each? The process can sometimes help shift swelling that's got stuck.

Oh Osc that looks sore and painful!! :( I hope it eases for you soon xxx

I am still in pain from when I fell down a few stairs in our Alnmouth holiday cottage, I hurt my arm when I flung both arms out to prevent myself from falling further. I can move it but the action of putting a coat/cardi on on that side is still really painful - I didn't have it seen to as it seemed to be more ligaments/muscle than bones, and I can take ibuprofen, but it does knock the stuffing out of you :( Hope you heal soon xxxx

Oh ouch!!!!! That does look really swollen. When I badly sprained my ankle years ago it was massively swollen, and a month later was still too swollen to put any wait on. A new physio got into it with arnica cream (from a purple tub, and must have something minty in it as it leaves the skin feeling cold, absolutely fab stuff) and he massaged almost exclusively from heal to calf, upwards, on the back of the leg. That seemed to be what my foot had been wanting for a month.
I still remember the pain, oh boy was it sore, worse than childbirth I reckon.
Lots of hugs Osc.
Everything happens for a reason
