We have ben to Las Vegas seven times.
Did not enjoy our last visit two years ago. There was a lot of building work going on. Don't think we will be going again.
Have flown over the Grand Canyon in a small plane. Must be one of the best sites in the world. Did it in the early evening.
In Las Vegas, have been up the Eiffel Tower in the Paris hotel, on a Gondala in the Venitian hotel, on the new monorail and to the top of the Stratosphere hotel. Even one some money in one of the casinos.
If you have time there is a shopping Mall. You have to get a bus to it from the Strip.
We stay at the Flamingo Hotel as it is in the centre of the strip and there is only a short walk from the front of the hotel to the Strip, not like Cesear's Palace.
Did you know you can go through USA immigration in Dublin before you board your flight?
Have good trip

Thanks everyone :D Di I did remember that you loved Las Vegas as we have on our two previous visits, it can be whatever you want it to be.

Cruiser, yes the US immigration system in Dublin is very useful as we have always found on our US trips. However, this time we are considering going with BA from London which would give us a saving of €250 as of yesterday, a saving worth having, plus the arrival time in Vegas is much better than going from Dublin with Aer Lingus. We have stayed in the Luxor, and the Tropicana, which is further down the Strip near the airport and we will stay there again, it appears to have had a complete refit and we liked its position.

Ossie, I discovered the roulette wheel on our cruise last year ;) The trick is to just have a set amount of money and when it is gone, it is gone. Last time we were there we used to play on a poker machine with quarters, it was great fun, and we were hugely excited when we won a teeshirt
