They are inedible glop and would not be grown if it was not for Halloween. Totally useless orange balls of mould habitat. They even make turnips seem tasty. ;)

Muesli is exciting and delicious by comparison. :P

At least on Bonfire Night we get fireworks and roast spuds - with butter.

We can read Wm ;) :D

Maybe some of us don't give a t*ss about pumpkins but chose to digress :P

Well you should.

Next thing you know sweet potato or keenwa will be all the rage.

It's bad enough having brown rice, couscous and wholemeal cardboard bread to digest, not to mention seaweed!

Hmmm well, I happen to like several from that list...brown rice, sweet potato, wholemeal bread...as for couscous though - some kind of conspiracy I think, it's definitely not food :D

Haha me too Di!! :D :D :D

Lol Ally was thinking the exact same thing!

After all that, we got ONE group of three littlies....ONE!!! I have never decorated the house or put anything out to say 'call here', so I don't know why we got so few.....and now I have a huge bowl of ket to deal with! :|

Di I love watching fireworks, but they make them soooo loud these days, and our pets suffer :( They get really REALLY scared, and that's why I don't like them. Why they can't make quiet ones, I don't know :|

I suppose every family has one - grumpy old git that is :D
Bb's dad is known to his boys as grumpy grandad :)

We had quite a lot, all little ones, 20 mini-bags of haribos gone I think, most of the big pack. There's a smaller pack as well but we can keep that for that c-word ;) I hate them so they're quite safe :D

I have politely eaten just enough couscous to not appear rude; I have tried a few recipes said to be 'delicious'...enough's enough. They're not fooling me any more with their bottom-of-the-birdcage packaged and labelled for human consumption :P

We always put a "Sorry, no callers" sign up, and we didn't get any doorknockers, although there were several groups touring the neighbourhood. However, when we came to take our sign down from the front door, we found it had been badly torn. Some thwarted little mongrel venting spleen? Dunno, nothing can be proved .... Paranoid Percy here might get CCTV installed for next year, though ......

Pumpkins are going to be two for 50p next week, I reckon, huge mountains must have been left at Asda. Persdonally I find the flesh too sweet - gimme a good old-fashioned stripey marrow filled with tasty spiced minced beef and onions any day ....

Summed it up very well, Di! It doesn't exactly challenge the tastebuds ...
