Morning all, it is overcast here but looks nice enough. We don't have the children today as Miss Osc has taken them to Wicklow for a couple of days. A plumber was supposed to be coming to put a tap on our roof terrace (the one thing we didn't think of doing  ) but he texted me yesterday to say he has had injections in his back and can't work for two weeks  So we are taking ourselves off out, getting the train to Dun Laoghaire which is on the other side of Dublin Bay, we'll walk the pier there and have a bit of lunch. Mr Osc has put a stew in the slow cooker and we have last night's recorded programmes to catch up with this evening. Have a good day everyone :)

I had a nice time out with my friend, we ended up in Cheltenham however, rather than Tewksbury as it was lashing down! We had a bite in The Bridge, a café that's set in an overhead walkway over one of the shopping streets. Then a foray into TK MAXX where I bought a few Christmas presents and a new vase for myself :) ;) It's still raining

Ria I only hope his feet have stopped growing now, as the next step up is skis :P ;)

Have fun in Dun Laoghaire Osc :)

Saundra my tumble dryer is on - again! ;)

Good afternoon everybody.
Had a busy day.
I was just leaving home when Ally posted. I was going to the clinic to have a blood sample taken. I wanted to be first in the queue when it opened at 7.30 a.m. There were over 30 waiting when I went in.
Back home for breakfast. Then someone came to change our electricity meter. It is now a small white box with a small window showing the reading. Then took my PC and printer to a local shop as the printer had stopped working.
Back home to talk with mrs.e as she had been shopping. Back to collect the PC and printer, planted some more bulbs as the rain had stopped. Emptied the two vacuum cleaners and some other small jobs.
Have now managed to reconnect the PC and printer and everything is back to normal.

Hi everyone - late on parade again

Jen and I have finally been here:

http://www.thebowesmuseum.org.uk/visitu ... eiseternal

although it's been running since July we still hadn't managed to go - either she's working, I am working (or away) or she's been busy....it's been extended for another two weeks and I'm so glad it was extended, we'd have missed it otherwise. There's a lot of outfits on show behind huge glass cabinets, original sketches and toiles, the type Jen does, but obviously by YSL, videos to watch of models like Naomi Campbell modelling some of the pieces....the historic pieces were lovely, and the shoes incredibly narrow and tiny! We spent about an hour or so, maybe longer looking round. Had a coffee and a spot of lunch afterwards in the cafe, the views are amazing 8-) We stopped off en route home to pick up some groceries, so all done 8-) Jen's cooking something that smells delicious now...then we will have some good telly later :D

Your day sounds lovely Kaz, glad you are able to get out and about with your friend :D I can't believe H takes a 14 shoe!!

Have a lovely evening everyone xxx

It was!! :D Really glad we managed to go...Jen asked me about it in about May and I said of course we'd go, but then it's just been left on the back burner. What a tragedy if we hadn't made it!! :(
