Morning all :D

We're up extra early as some of the cement holding the roof ridges came down yesterday morning and the roofer has just been to take a look. Apparently it's where someone has pointed over the old cement and that never holds. He says rain is extremely unlikely to come through into the house as the roof looks sound, it's more of a cosmetic exercise, but he's going to send through a quote so we can decide if we want to get it fixed. Tbh if it's not too costly we will get it done as more is likely to come down and apart from anything else it wouldn't be good if it fell on the car. Oh the joys of owning an older house!!

Not sure what's happening today, we do need to get some shopping, but it's not urgent.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning both, morning everyone :)

Ally that sounds fun :D

Ton, hoping for some good news for you! 8-) 8-)

Well, I'm going out with my mate A today - we were thinking of visiting Tewksbury, for a wander round and maybe a look around the Abbey but it's raining and the forecast is torrential, so I can see us ending up somewhere with a bit more cover instead :? ;)  Becky isn't working today, but has a driving lesson later, and Harry is happy at the prospect of a day watching TV and playing on his games console. We walked to town and back yesterday and got him some new trainers - size 14  :o

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Yep!! Feet like boats, huge hands and long skinny legs - at 15 he's 6ft so he's going to be almost as tall as his dad I think, who is 6ft 5

Morning Jen, sorry, you posted just as I started typing I think :) I hope you can get your roof sorted without too much expense xx

Morning all

Gosh Kaz - size 14 is huge! Karl is 6.2 and he 'only' wears a size 12 (I think)... wowzer :o - have fun in Teweksbury, it's a pretty town
Jen, best of luck with the roof. Hopefully the repair isn't too much and you can go ahead with it - cosmetic or not, as you say you don't want to risk more stuff coming down and hitting something.
Ton, as posted on the other thread, crossing what there is to be crossed xxx
Ally, have fun and please take a picture of the pasta skeletons so I have a vague idea what to do. I'm assuming it's uncooked pasta glued onto a piece of paper? It sounds like fun and something I could try do with Amelia one day :D

Usual work day for me then home for a Tesco delivery; that's about all the excitement my day holds in store :D

have a lovely day all xxx

Good morning all.

I'll be busy today, putting the finishing touches to my monthly Golden Oldies Music Night this evening.

Jen: - Sorry to hear about your roof problem. I imagine it will be quite a costly business putting things
right, but it sounds as though that might be the best option. Fingers crossed.

Hope you all are fighting fit. Have a nice day.
