We won't hear anything now.

Apparently, they've sold their house which is good, but we know nothing about them, as it was a colleague of Carla's.

Grumpy is on the wine, I'm being good and sticking to water ;)  :?

Bit of encouragement never goes amiss though :D

Always up for a celebration but this has gone on too long to even contemplate a glass of bubbly until we know the real deal!

But they've offered 165,000, put a reservation on the house and so negotiations are starting.

Were you not offered this a few weeks ago and turned it down?

Yes Ally, but having put a reservation on the house means that they mean business, as in they will up their offer. Also means no.one else can offer until the negotiations are either complete or break-down. It normally means the house will sell.

Weird way of doing it, but this is Portugal

We've told Carla our lowest price, which is a lot higher than 165,000. So it's up to them now.

Good luck. Hopefully they realise you mean business and you'll get your asking price or as near dammit! :D
