Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 02 Oct 2015, 05:26

Good morning.

A lovely day forecast again. 8-)

A walk, coffee and shower then picking the parentals up and bringing them over here for the day. :D :D

I'm taking them out for lunch.

Don will drop me at homework club for 4.30 then take my folks home.

I finish at 6.30 and will meet up with Don and the others for our usual Friday beers and tapas. :D :D :D

Not a late one as I have an uber yomp tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone :)

It's a bit foggy here, although it might brighten up if and when that disappears  ;) I'm making green tomato chutney today, using the recipe Debih posted for me :) I've been waiting for the jars and labels I ordered from Amazon, but they've arrived now :D I do however have to nip out first for new kitchen scales - I don't use mine very often as I'm of the 'chuck it all in' school of cookery, but when I got my old ones out last night in preparation I noticed they were broken, the pointer on the dial was spinning round freely and was coming loose, so I'll nip up to Sainsbury's and get some new ones.

Other than that, not much planned - Becky has another driving lesson, and is really enjoying it :) I'm hoping my sister had a good night and is recovering well today, I'll be speaking to my BIL later to find out.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning everyone

High cloud, but still warm ish ;) 8-)

Have ventured out - we were running out of tissues, amongst other things  so just having another coffee, then breakfast.

I've virtually lost my voice and Grumpy's throat is still red raw  so another day of doing not a lot - dozing a lot and the tele is getting well used ;)

Glad B is enjoying her lessons and hope she passes her test soon :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here again 8-)

Expecting a chap to come and measure the bathroom floor later this morning. Still not sure what we'll be having, but at least we can book it in once we've decided. After he's been we need to pop out and get a few bits ready to take up for mother. We'll be driving up to our eldest daughter M on Sunday and then seeing mother on Monday. Spoke to Chris at the CH yesterday and we've arranged to take both her and mother out for lunch. I'll be taking up a change of wardrobe too as although the weather right now is nice, we won't be back up until the beginning of November and she'll need some warmer clothes before then.

Off out with the coffee lot this evening. It's usually once a month, but there have been a few birthdays to celebrate. I'm so glad I joined, they're such a lovely friendly bunch.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Thanks Ton, we hope so too, it will be really useful for her to be able to drive before she goes off on her animal volunteering travels 8-) :D

Jen it's been great for you to find friends so soon, I'm really pleased for you! I finally have a few friends here in Gloucester, but it's taken nearly 6 years!  If I'd had somewhere like your coffee group it would have been much easier :) 8-)

Morning/afternoon all (typing in the morning but it will run into the afternoon  ) Lovely autumn morning here, I've cleaned our bathroom, been for a nice walk on the pier, now going to tidy up my family history file, and I'll do some ironing this afternoon. Mr Osc has gone to play golf. Chilli for dinner tonight. Have a good day everyone :)

Afternoon all :D I have had the house to myself all day today so cracked on and went right through it, cleaning up a fortnights' mess (didn't get chance last Friday with having Lily and then a busy weekend) - I had a breather over lunch and went to meet Jan (from work) to go for lunch together in the local coffee shop, then back to iron and see what needed done in the garden....STILL need the decking jet washed and treated before the winter, but I can't make head or tail of the jet wash so that's a T job - when he gets around to it!! I've left the j/w on the decking so hopefully he'll get the hint when he gets home :| I've emptied the summer tubs and spread the compost on the garden soil....cut back my peony and lavender, I'll use the claw tomorrow pm to aerate the soil and weed.....I'm pooped now though!

Sat on the decking for a bit to read - the conservatory is too hot atm! :D 8-) It'll be a rest going to work tomorrow :D

Hugs for all, enjoy the last few days of sunshine and heat as next week we get proper autumn back! :x  xxx

Evening :)
Signal keeps crashing today so fingers crossed!

I guess we're far enough away from Ton to have different weather, it was hot and sunny here till after we had lunch, which wasn't till gone 2 o'clock.
We'd been for a long walk along the front then came back and sat outside the local favourite coffee/tea/cake cafe :)
It's very high cloud, more like thick haze, but is meant to be cloudy for the weekend. Quite a nice change really, it has been blazing hot and it's still lovely and warm :)
We ate in last night so we're sat on the balcony pondering where to go for dinner :)

Hope your sister's doing ok Kaz xx
