It's grey and cold here today, a bit different after the gorgeous Indian Summer weather of the last week or so, so October arrived in style I'm meeting my friend A this morning for a cuppa and a natter, we are checking out a new place in the Quays I'm keeping myself busy really, as my sister is having a big op today, on her jaw, she'll be 'under' for about 3 1/2 hours and I'm a bit worried about her. Some of the famous VV vibes would be much appreciated!!

Oh, I do love poached eggs, but just can't make them myself. So I cheat and soft boil and egg, peel that and pretend it's a poached egg

Another beautiful sunny morning here Kaz, they're expecting the next few days to be like this apparently. I'm off tomorrow, got a few things to do and then having friends round for lunch on Saturday so it just gives me more time to shop, clean, sort etc....

It's my SIL's (Liesel in SA) birthday today - sang her the happy birthday song via WhatsApp at 6am this morning - poor thing had to listen to that

Continued vibes for Luke, Shell and Tim and I really really hope that they are allowed home tomorrow.
Hope Ton and Grumpy are feeling better as well

Morning all, it's looking like rather a nice day out there. We are having both children today, Michael has been sickening for something the last few days and seems to have quite a sore throat according to Miss Osc, so she thought it better to keep him home from school. Sounds like the same thing Kellie had last week, listless, temperature, and we thought she had a sore throat too, she is not completely back to herself yet. So we will have a busy day! Thinking of Shell and her family, they must be dying to get home at this stage. Saundra, we have had very high tides here too, and flat out ebbs, isn't this planet an amazing thing. I wonder if that's why the sea was so high and wild when we were in Scarborough last month? I'd never seen the waves so wild, or the tide so high....

Gorgeous start to the day here, clear blue skies and no wind, little on the chilly side atm but set to rise to the dizzy heights of 16 degrees

I'm just back from Drs, BP not regulation levels so we are going to 'sit on it' for now and then review in another 3 months with a view to increasing the dosage of my meds Still not feeling great, so have cancelled my coffee date with my SIL, I'll still get my hair cut this afternoon as planned though, it is much needed! Also need some grocery shopping so will pop out later for that.

Good morning all. It's not very bright here this morning, but at least it's dry.

I shall be busy today getting ready for the Golden Oldies Music Night I'm putting on here this evening.
I haven't done one during the Summer months, and many of my friends here say they are looking forward to it.
