Bear in mind, we've just reduced the price from 195,000 to 185,000.

So told Carla to forget it, do not even think about it.

But, she says, they'll buy something else and you will lose out. There is a house up the road for 115,000. Yes, we said, we know that house, it's a wreck, let them buy it.

They "may" offer 175,000 tomorrow

We are expecting more phone calls, texts tomorrow, as she is trying to organise a cheaper option on the houses we like.

So we may have to whizz up to Ourique tomorrow, to see this other house.

We've decided never to sell this house...the boys can have it and we'll just buy a nice wee apartment by the beach.

I think buying/selling property is yuck!

I was, and am surprised that Carla was really pushing us to take that offer.

We bought this house, almost 12 years ago, at 170,000. I know the market has changed, but not that much, surely.

The exchange rate for ths was brilliant, then, but we're still talking euros, not sterling. (1.5 something, at the time )
