A day of two stories!

Story number 1

I had today all planned out.

I was going to drop the girls at school at 8.20 and head over to Chesterfield. Nip to B&M Bargains for some bits, then onto Lidl for my main shop and Morrisons for the bits I can't get at Lidl.

Then home (by my estimate it would have been around 11am), walk the dog up over the moors to a friends house, bite to eat and back again. Run myself a bath and have a quick hoover round whilst bath is running and then nice long soak with my book before fetching the girls from my mums at 7.30pm and home for a glass of wine and feet up watching tv.

Story number 2

This is how my day has been so far -

Up to send S off to catch the bus as I was had to take L to ....... wait for it......wait for it........ the local minor injuries unit for an x-ray!!!! Saw the nurse, sat waiting for the xray, sat waiting to see the nurse again to be told that her little finger probably is broken and as she is under 16 then she has to go to the fracture clinic at Chesterfield (you know, the one she was discharged from less than a month ago). Waited for them to make an appointment. Dropped L off at school at 11.30. Eventually got to B&M Bargain, Lidl and Morrisons and arrived home 20 minutes ago. To a pile of dog vomit. Sigh.

I am now having my lunch (left overs from last nights Shepherds pie rather than the lovely lunch my friend was making) before I walk the dog over the moors, to come home to unpack the shopping and do the hoovering and have a quick bath before fetching the girls from my mums slightly earlier as L has nits so I have to treat her, comb her half way down her back hair through and wash it all off again before I can even think about sitting down for the evening.

And tomorrow my plans are completely out of the window as I have to have her at the fracture clinic for 9.30am.

And breathe!

Is L a tomboy or just accident prone? She never seems to out of the wars in one way or another.

No!

We are off to a Premier Inn tomorrow night - all of us in one family room for two nights (why oh why didn't I book two rooms!!) travelling down after school. We are then off to Harry Potter Studio Tour on Saturday and might go on to St Albans for a while before back for another night in one room and travelling home on Sunday!

I'm looking forward to it but it will be far from relaxing!!!!!

I think its a bit of both WM.

She's very sporty and also pretty accident prone.

The first time was her fractured scaphoid - that was done by tripping on a step on a school sponsored walk. Then her ankle - that was done whist doing cartwheels in the park.

The finger was done in PE on Monday when she ran into a wall. She never mentioned it on Monday night, commented that she had hurt it on Tuesday and then showed me this rather bent finger last night so off to Minor Injuries we went last night to get it strapped up and then back again this morning for an x ray.

Oh good grief!!!

I was accident prone as a child, one summer I was at Casualty three times in three weeks! First a dog bite (nipped on the ear by a puppy while I was playing on the grass in the park) second a sprained wrist falling off a roundabout, and third a minor concussion when I slipped whilst hanging upside down from the scaffolding attached to our house, while we were having a new roof! I'm sure these days they would have sent social services round! Never actually broke anything though, I think I was plump enough to bounce

Nits are a total PITA these days, both H and B have had them, several times, and B has always had very thick wavy hair!
