Debih, I will answer here rather than going through them all individually.

They all sound fabulous, esp that pear and plum chutney. I will go a picking in the next few days.

The onion marmalade is almost exactly the same as the onion jam I make except for the redcurrant jelly.

I have hundreds of preserving recipes if you need any more.

Some are from current books (mainly River Cottage), some are from really old books I inherited from Micks gran and some are in the handwritten recipe book that used to belong to his gran - my most prized possession!

Not sure if they'd appreciate it (hopefully yes), but you should buy two lovely hand bound books and copy those recipes out for S & L and give it to them when they're older - what a treasure to have

That is a cracking idea. It will give the girls a good and handy reference to healthy and nutritious meals with a bit of family history thrown in.
