La Concha...

Postby Ally » 20 Sep 2015, 19:00

....climbing that today was probably the hardest form of exercise I've ever done in my life!!

Once we walked through the wooded glade it was uphill and unbelievably rocky. :o

We'd walk along the path and then find ourselves climbing a mini mountain to get round to the big mountain...this happened so many times.

Lots of people doing it...I lost count of the different accents I heard.

The views were absolutely stunning - I couldn't get my head round the fact I was amongst mountains that I gaze down at when I'm coming home on the plane.

It took well over 4 hours to climb, 3+ to get back down and over 17km in distance.

It's still 30ish degrees here but was very pleasant as it isn't the fierce heat of summer. :D :D

I came home filthy, sweaty, scratched arms and legs and absolutely starving!

I've had a shower and am waiting on my Chinese takeaway to be delivered.

It's my turn to choose the next one...it will be a tad easier!!

Not all mountains are rocky smart**s!

And not all mountains go up as steeply as this one did...alot of them plateau. :ugeek:

And tumbleweed re the uphill. :geek: :geek: :geek:
