Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 18 Sep 2015, 05:53

Good morning. :D

Beautiful again. 8-) 8-)

A walk then coffee. :D

Picking the parentals up at noon and taking them to Iceland for some food shopping.

Whilst they're doing that I'll nip into the shop next door and purchase some hiking boots. :D :D :D

Lunch back at mum and dad's then I have a staff meeting at 5pm. :D :D :D

Which will take me nicely onto the usual Friday night beers and tapas. :D :D

Enjoy the day everyone.

Morning everyone :D

Ally, are those boots for the climb? :) :D

Ton, have a good day :) xx

Well it's a rugby weekend here! There is a match tomorrow (Georgia v Tonga I think) here at Kingsholm, and my sister, BIL and nephew are coming to Gloucester for it, and will arrive this evening :) Mick, BIL, nephew and niece are going to the game, but J and I have an afternoon to ourselves :D :D :D Which is something that happens all too rarely!! Really looking forward to it 8-) Then we are all going out for dinner, I've booked the Oakwood at Twigworth :) 8-) Two dinners out this week, not looking forward to the scales on Monday morning :P ;)

This morning I'll be doing some housey stuff, the windows need cleaning and I'll steam the floors, then this afternoon Mick and I are going into town to buy a nice crystal glass and get it engraved, for Mick's No 2 on his team who is retiring (early, the lucky chap!) in a week or two's time. I said I'd help Mick choose one :ugeek:  ;)

So a busy few days for me - TBH that's how I like it, especially when it's busy with family :D

Have a good day everyone :) xxxx

Morning all

Saundra, glad you're feeling better - bet you can't wait to meet little Scarlett :D . And I am impressed 25 years for a microwave? That is really good going
Ally, enjoy the shopping with the parentals. As Kaz asked - are the boots for the hike this weekend or will you have time to walk them in a bit :?
Kaz, I suspect Waterloo will be quite heaving with people heading to Twickenham for the opening game this evening. I do love the sporty vibe and so much prefer the good naturedness of the rugby crowds vs some of the footie ones.
Ton, hope it's cool enough at yours that the ironing isn't too much of a chore?

Usual work day for me today, then home in time for a Tesco delivery this evening and then early to bed. Got a busy weekend ahead provided the weather holds; so much to do in the garden

Have a lovely day everyone xxxx

I'm sure it will be heaving Ria :) Yes rugby people tend to be good natured - I think they take all their aggression out on the field ;)

Ally a bit of stomping should wear them in nicely!! When B bought new boots for Borneo, a couple of years ago, I made her wear them round the house before she went 8-) It looked odd with her jammies, but it paid off

Saundra, I'm glad you are feeling better and can see Scarlett-Rose soon :D :D :Hi:

Morning all, looks nice enough out there, cloud and sun. Nothing special planned - need to leave some shoes in to be heeled and there's ironing to be done but that's it.

When my sister worked for Aer Lingus she always said she would rather have a plane full of soccer supporters than rugby supporters. Over here a lot of rugby heads would have gone to the posher schools and have developed an arrogant sense of entitlement. Mind you, many of them had their wings clipped by the collapse of the Celtic Tiger, so maybe that has changed and I do know a lot of 'ordinary' rugby supporters. Lots of sports telly in this house over the weekend I presume  , I think Ireland is playing its first game tomorrow, I am really not interested in rugby. Have a good day everyone :)
