I know Kaz, I was open-mouthed but believe me they ate them and would have had more

Both boys played cricket, football and rugby - and tennis if nothing else was going on, and cycled everywhere :D
Her husband's an architect, they built their own house and she had a special food cupboard built in so she could buy potatoes and flour by the sack :)
She made cakes etc 3 times a week, in big trays, they all evaporated :D

Thankfully she did realise they actually needed it and their food was pretty healthy, things like crisps were strictly rationed.
She's a tiny little thing and knew she couldn't afford to be tempted too much; both boys grew up to be fit and healthy but not overweight, although like my dad had to learn to stop eating like that eventually ;) :D

Soup for us. Friday night has become soup night as Mick has a chippy lunch and the girls have school dinner.

So today is courgette and rocket with onion and goats cheese focaccia.

I'm planning on tomato for next week.

I love soup making. I might start a thread for your favourite recipes.
