Morning all :)
It's an absolutely gorgeous day here, my idea of perfection - clear blue sky and sunshine, warm enough to do whatever you like, and a light breeze to cool you down every now and then :)
And I slept! Till after 8 o'clock, very nearly unheard of. I don't like being in bed late, especially as Bb and Minnie both need seeing to, but I did need it :)
So since it was late anyway, I got everything else done and then Minnie and I went to the park.

I'm sure I've told you about our beautiful park before, it's huge, with one big area of tarmac paths with maintained beds and shrubberies, but wooded bits in between, complete with hidden fairy wood. There are little doors in tree trunks, a 'town hall' in a hollowed trunk, table and chairs, a post box...must take some photos one day :)
The next area has a lovely playground, skate park, tennis courts, a croquet lawn, cricket and rugby pitches; then through to the lower field, with football pitches. This is the part that used to be always waterlogged, but about 3 years ago there was a drainage project which has been a huge success, and the excess water now goes to the very end of that field, where they made a big pond.
The land was left to the village and having read a fair bit about it, the covenant is about as tight as these things can get. It's a wonderful place to go :)

Much as I love it, and it did me good, I'd still really love to swap for Ally's day, being on a horse is one of my ideas of heaven :)
Lovely to see you Cal, I hope you get to enjoy the sunshine xx
Hope you're enjoying your cuppa by the harbour Saundra :)
Honestly Kaz if Sainsburys will sell jumpers, what's a girl supposed to do? Glad B's better x
Ton are you going to Nizette's, how is it now they've had a while, and what's it called now? - to you or to everyone :D

Bb's ok thank you, eye still horrible!
Hope you all enjoy the day
x

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Your park sounds lovely Di, would love to see some pictures.

We've only just surfaced, waiting for E to get out of the shower and then we'll have a quick brekkie before setting off to the shops. Planning to look at flooring and wall tiles first and then will probably have a toasted sandwich in M&S before we actually start the food shopping. Undecided what flooring to go for, what do you have in your bathroom?

Hope you all have a good day :D

Your park does sound lovely Di :D Our weather is lovely too, bright sun with a crisp undertone :) I'm just waiting for the sheets in the washer to finish, so I can peg them out, then will walk up to D's :)

Morning Jen, looking at tiles and flooring sounds fun, I love picking out new things :)

Morning Cal, I hope your sunshine lasts so you can enjoy it ((x))

We have tiles Jen, easier to keep clean, although can be a trifle slippy

That park does sound lovely Di xx

Been down a couple of times Di, they've really cleaned the place up, much better now and kept the same name, but it's still "the coffee" :)

Ironing done, flan made, just waiting for Julia to skype :D :D :D

All is well with the baby to be 8-) Midwife had a good rummage and she thinks he'll arrive, naturally, within the week. But if not, then it's off to be induced, which no-one wants.

Julia is in high spirits, just fed up waiting and is now also ready in case of a home birth. The hospital is quite a way from where she lives and she'd prefer to be home, but it all depends.

No Kaz, Wexham is her nearest. She was telling me that Windsor has 14 midwives    and they prefer home births, especially for "older" mums, who've sailed through everything.

But, as Grumpy said about me, I can only say about her, she's a tough old bird, she'll be fine. :?

She went to Uxbridge - driving herself :o to get a tarpaulin, in case it's needed 8-)

Oliver has his bag packed, as he'll be off to his child-minder (also a close friend)

She's under instructions to text me, as soon as she either has to go to hospital or just after she's contacted the midwife, so I can worry

Her dad was around last time, this time, it's just me.

And Grumpy ;)
