David's got the bug!!

Postby Ally » 01 Sep 2015, 17:43

My friend David that I climbed El Chorro with has agreed to climb Monte Palomas which is in our town. :D :D :D

We go Sunday. :D :D

This from a bloke who had a pair of trainers still new and in the shoe box for more than a year until last Saturday!

Think he's been bitten by the keep fit bug.

Striking while the iron's hot always a good idea :)
So have you climbed Monte Palomas before, and what's it like?

I've climbed it twice Di - it's fab. :D :D

About 400m high and 7km if you follow the path. Which we will. :D :D :D

From the top you can see views to Malaga port and the airport and from the other side Torremolinos.

You can walk back down the way you came up (we'll do that) but you can also walk down the Torremolinos path which will bring you out to a part of Torremolinos.

We're doing that with Gez & sharon when they come over in March. :D :D

It sounds amazing - I do enjoy walking but am so unfit that a 7km 400m high hill would take me years to recover from

have fun!

I would enjoy the views, even though I'd struggle - like Ria - with the climb  :D :D

Sounds a lot like the Lakes - apart from the heat!!

I have about 3 or 4 pairs of trainers, including walking shoes/boots.....not worn them much this year though
