Don't Tell The Bride

Postby Ally » 26 Aug 2015, 16:04

I've only ever seen a couple of these but enjoyed what I did see. :D

BBC3 last night showed one with a couple - Jackie & John from Kirkintilloch - and I was in absolute stitches laughing at the eejit!

He didn't think he would be counted in the wedding numbers because he was the groom!

The bridesmaids had to pay for their own dresses  and the hen do. :o

He'd organised the reception to be at a scabby looking miner's club because it was where they had met.

But the best bit?!

He arranged for the bride to arrive at the wedding venue via a sky dive!!!!

The bridesmaid had a meltdown and couldn't do it...but Jackie did.

It was just too funny...I'm going to try and catch some more now.

Some men just haven't a jeffin clue!

Yes they are quite interesting. Getting married in a cowshed, getting married on the top of Snowdon and other delights!

We have started watching the older programmes too.

I stumbled across one yonks ago, but then it clicked that it was made-up "reality" TV and that was it for me.

They are nothing more than examples of Andy Warhol's 15 minute syndrome.

Well I know all about that WM, but it is kind of amusing and there aren't many amusing programmes around these days. When you think of the trash that is Big Brother and that jungle thing, Don't tell the Bride becomes almost intellectual.

Horses for courses Rodo - I love BB because I see it as people watching, and seeing how different personalities figure out a way of getting along (or not!) in a controlled environment.
