Good morning Saturday

Good afternoon all.

We slept over this morning - to make up for our trip to London yesterday.
It was a lovely outing. We were thrilled with Buckingham Palace, and the trip down the Thames,
with a smashing on-board lunch, was delightful.
Surprise, surprise - we actually saw two policemen walking together down a street !!!
I wouldn't want to live in London though. It just seems a multitude of massive blocks of flats.

We're having a quiet day today. Hope you are all fine.

Hmmphh so much for our sunshine!
It clouded over by 1pm and got gradually darker and gloomier, this seems to have happened every time it's started sunny.
Great big splashes of rain began about an hour ago but not many of them, it's still doing the same

We had blazing sun and almost unbearable humidity, until about an hour ago!!

There is thunder now in the distance Mick has just left to drive B to a barbecue, just for an hour or so (she'd promised to go before realising that H and A were coming tonight), and I'm waiting for our guests! I've made a Greek salad with stuff from the greenhouse, chicken legs in garlic and rosemary cooking in the oven, new spuds with mint on the go, a goats' cheese and onion tart cooking as well in case he's a veggie (although being French I highly doubt it) and I bought some tear and share garlic flatbreads to go with it all. Tiramisu for pud, as I know Hannah loves it, and as I can't abide it I won't be tempted by it

Their train isn't in until 8.30, so it will be a late one for me It does smell delicious though
