What are we reading in February?

Postby Ally » 01 Feb 2013, 08:06

Today I'm going to start reading Dear Tom by Tom Courtenay.
Tom kept all the weekly letters his mum wrote to him when he went to university and wrote this book round all the letters.

Then I'm going to read Simon Callow's Love Is Where It Falls.
It's about his love for Joe Orton's agent Peggy Ramsay.

I read them both many years ago but just fancy them again. :D :D

Still part way through The School Run by Sophie King. I like it but have to keep reminding myself about who is married to who and who is the parent of which child, a lot of characters were introduced at once so it's a bit confusing.

Is it a book or on the kindle Jo? 'Cos that's a problem with the kindle isn't it, you can't just flick to where you know so-and-so was introduced.

I've still not finished Midnight is a Lonely Place (Barbara Erskine) but I'm not far off now. I am hoping to finish it tonight.

I have a book to collect later from the library, although I can't remember what it is!

That reminds me, did you see about the blind date with books? It was a library somewhere and they'd wrapped some books in paper and stuck a label on saying what the genre was but you didn't know what the book or who the author was until you'd checked it out and unwrapped it.
