It was only between the 2 towns and we don't normally go there in the summer, but thought, oh well, we're not too far away, as we were in Tavira. But grid-locked , virtually the whole way.

Just sheer volume of traffic. The guy in the English shop said it's been like it all summer

We do have stock cubes here, but they are a vastly different taste and sometimes, you just need to "proper" stuff

Lol Ton that's why we try not to go to Lyndhurst or Christchurch anytime in July or August

There's a lovely little train station at Conceicao y'know
Terrific service - all of about 3 trains a day
No help whatsoever when you're carting a load of stuff by car though

Di, in the end, we only bought a couple of things - they'd run out of virtually everything no poppadoms even but I did manage to get another couple of books for a euro
