Morning :)
At last we have sunshine! It's a beautiful day :) Yesterday was supposed to be fine but it started raining at only about 10, and didn't really stop all day and most of the night.

Lots of busyness for people, hooleys and visitors and English shop goodies and Margate and yoghurt :)
When are they coming Kaz, have you been practising comment allez vous? :D

The patient is really well today, considering, and the eye doesn't look too bad at all, first batch of drops done.

I didn't mention I had to somehow fit in a blood test this week, but someone suggested I try the chemo unit at Southampton to see if they'd do it - I wouldn't risk the main blood centre there given the problems with my veins.
So while Bb was waiting to go into surgery (we knew he was third on the list) I went off there.
They were so lovely, I said why I'd come and had two of them immediately sitting me down, chatting, they got out their fabulous vein finder - and still it took 3 attempts! They're only allowed 2 goes each so we were running out of nurses  :D
But they did it, so that will be on the computer system today, ready for the local hospital pharmacy on Monday - they won't release my jab without the required blood test. Phew!

Hope you all have a good day

Morning all, clouds and sun here, it looks a bit watery  but showers not forecast till later. Mr Osc is playing golf and I have to face an ironing marathon  but it has to be done. Glad Bb is doing well, Di, and it's great that the hospital was able to accommodate your blood test, I don't think that kind of cooperation would happen over here. Jen, have fun with the boys, and early to bed tonight  I love the sound of the Aggers' day out, hope they have a great time. Have a good day everyone :)

Di I had a text earlier and they aren't coming until tomorrow evening now, as Hannah will be looking at a couple of flats in Bristol during the day, and it's easier to go from London straight to Bristol, rather than coming here first. She's just got a new post with the BBC Natural History unit there, which sounds very exciting!! Nice to have her closer too, might see her a bit more often. My French is pretty basic these days, but I am assured that A is very fluent in English

I'm glad Bb is coming along so well, and also very glad that your blood test got sorted. Hope you both have a nice relaxing weekend :)

Morning Osc, I had an ironing mountain yesterday, but cleared it and thankfully the tumble dried stuff hardly needed any. That is one blessing with the drier!! ;)

Good morning Cal, you too Jen :D :D

The nearest Lakeland to us is Cheltenham, but we have a Pro Cook here which has nice stuff sometimes :)

Good morning Friday

Morning all
Sorry I've read all your replies but they just haven't stuck in my brain.
Had a fever last night and I'm chasing it away with a wine tonight,,, think I'll be asleep soon

It's been a busy exciting week. Lots of work, I better start getting "paid" soon.
Went to a meeting yesterday at a lovely bakery that wins awards, so now trying to source product for them from China.
Somehow said bakery talked me into fixing a printer for them which turned into networking the office properly, I've got hubby lined up to finish them off properly, I don't "do" networks they bore me.

My small business course has started, the tertiary though didn't have our materials ready in time.
10 points to anyone who can say the tertiary name. Te Wananga o Aotearoa

They were predicting an early spring. I'm still waiting for winter. Sorry.
We are in for a dry but cycloney summer if that makes you feel better.

The sun has had some real warmth in it the last couple of days. I'd better spray my peach and nectarine trees this weekend and mow the lawn before it takes off
