I'm not into cars either, but when I need to look for one I go on What Car, you can look at ratings for various categories and get user ratings too.
For makes, I had Renaults for years and loved them, before and after that Peugeots.
Our Renault Modus (secondhand, they don't make them any more) is terrific :)

I've had my Hyundau i10 from new, she's now 5 years old and I've had no trouble at all with her. Once the back seat is down there is tons of room for whatever you want to carry, and the engine is under 1000cc hence meriting it a £30 road tax charge.

Hope you get sorted out :)

(PS I'm not a fan of the chunkiness of the Note either ;) )

I love my Qashqai, or as the Burmese GP at work calls it, my quashy quashy

Mine doesn't have small windows either.

Tim has a Toyota Carolla now 12 years old, been a brilliant car

I'm a huge Suzuki fan Ria, been driving various models for the past 15 years and it would take a lot to convince me to change. Currently it's the Splash which I'm really pleased with. I find all the models I've had really reliable and economical to run, plus the dealer's service has been excellent, oh and they're not too expensive either.

thanks all. The problem I'm having at the moment is the financing. I don't have enough money to pay the huge deposit most companies seem to ask for and most are focusing mainly on leases vs outright HP's which is what I want. I was really lucky with my current car and the Astra I'm looking at tonight has the same finance arrangement; minimum deposit, 60 monthly payments at 0% APR and then the car is mine - no lump sums up front or at the end

The companies that do offer the HP; their repayment terms are all about 36 months with an APR of about 4.6% which makes the monthly repayments quite high; again more than I can afford in a month.

I think I need to rob a bank!

Mrs.e likes driving our car is she is higher than a normal car. But she does not like getting in or out as she has to step up.
It is a Mercedes B150 if you want to look it up
