One of my students....

....came in today with a birthday gift for me!

Last term we'd done a unit on families, special dates, birthdays etc and part of it had been to write each other's birthday dates down.

Just before 9.30 this morning Isabella (aged 8) came to the school with a gift bag for me and inside she'd put:

A bag of chocolates, a wooden spoon, (she enjoys cooking and we both watch Spanish Masterchef ) she'd made the spoon into a little lady and an envelope which contained a little letter from her saying she loved her teacher and couldn't wait to return in September.

I was so touched by her kind thought and had to fight the big lump in my throat to be able to thank her.

How nice is that of her?!
