Ton, it's a funny thing with neighbours isn't it - to me there is noise and there is noise. One family a few doors down are very much outdoors people and the moment the sun's out they're outside chatting and laughing away; it's a noise that sort of just fades into the background. Then others are just loud, shouting, music etc and you just can't tune it out

It's quite bright here now, but a few rain clouds are passing over.
Mrs A is at the hairdressers now, then we are going into town to have a celebration lunch,
as it happens to be our wedding anniversary.

Both homes are holiday homes, so we don't get to see or hear them much.

But we have a viewing at 11.30 - and the person is looking next door too.

You can indeed Vic, and if you get the little ferry to Southampton it goes right up close to any cruise ships docked It is a pretty little town, only about 15 mins up the road from us

Morning all, sun and cloud here, and it was cool and breezy when I hung out the washing an hour ago. I have a list to get through today, supermarket shop, do some baking (I promised Michael carrot muffins tomorrow), ring around getting quotes for household insurance as we have been on the builder's insurance up till now. Mr Osc is busy putting together the couple of things we bought in IKEA yesterday and he is playing golf later.

Di, isn't Brockenhurst where we met up all those years ago, can't even remember what year it was but I do remember the lovely pud with custard Have a great time with your cousin. Glad the neighbours are friendly, Jen. Have a good day everyone

We had a lovely, lovely time L & I
From Brockenhurst we drove the back way, ie little country road, through Beaulieu and to Hythe. L was already thrilled as she'd seen, from the train, a group of donkeys with a tiny white baby
We saw plenty of ponies including foals on the way.
In Hythe we found a book for her and a pretty top for me in charity shops, then went to Ebenezers for a very chatty lunch

Wandered round the rest of Hythe centre then drove back to Beaulieu, walked up the little High St to the garden centre. It had warmed up quite a lot by then so we had a pot of tea outside.
Eventually drove back to Brockenhurst - I wanted to be in plenty of time in case of hold-ups with traffic leaving the New Forest show which is only just up the road.
We were early so another wander, then another pot of tea before I left her at the station

L is a lovely lady, always has been, but has had a bit of a problem in the last few years with confidence. She came to Dad's funeral, by bus, which was the first time she'd been out on her own for a year or so. So to come down to see me, having to change trains, was quite an achievement
